Superior Township Fire Department proudly protects 11000 people living in an area of thirty six square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are a combination of career and paid on call status.

    The mission of the Superior Township Fire Department is to safely protect lives and property with dedicated personnel who train with modern equipment and techniques in fire suppression, medical emergencies, public service, public education, and inspection.

Recent Fire Department Activity



Superior Fire responded to a apartment fire in the 8900 block of MacArthur Blvd.  Ladder 11-1 found a room and contents on fire.  The fire was knocked down within 10 minutes of arrival.


Superior Fire was dispatched to a single car accident.  Ladder 11-1 found one patient pinned in upon arrival.  The patient was extricated and taken to a local hospital.


Superior Fire responded to a car vs. semi in the Ford Rd. and M14 area.  Engine 11-1 found one car that had run into the rear of a moving semi truck.  The patient was transported without incident.
